I love bright colors. I also love finding those bright colors out in the world while I’m exploring. A while ago, I came up with the crazy idea to start a feature account that showcased the kind of colorful photography you can find in travel pictures, and my account, Worldwide Color, was born. Every day, I repost three pictures of a certain color, cycling through the rainbow, mixing submissions from other Instagrammers in with a few of my own. These are my favorites of each color from May.

Red

I love the red lanterns contrasted with the purples in this one. They’re two colors that are hard to pull off together, but look great when paired up properly. Want to see them in real life? You’ll have to head to Guangzhou, China. Follow @lincalincalinca on Instagram and check out her blog, Reverie Chaser, for more great content.

Other top red images this month were from @beckythetraveller and @yavaeya.

I love the colors of fall, and this shot of pumpkins and an old car is perfect. It brings back memories of cider mills and crunching leaves. This great fall scene is from Cox Farms in Virginia, USA. Follow @kidventurous on Instagram.

Other top orange images were from @rouxroamer and @badpassport.

Yellow

I told you I love fall colors. This great pathway surrounded by beautiful leaves is the perfect fall scene. Visit Boone, North Carolina in the US for a chance to see the leaves in all of their splendor. Want more? Follow @kelseysocial on Instagram and check out her blog, Kelsey Social.

Other top yellow images were from @comejoinmyjourney_ and @pacifiquegirl.

Green

Plitvice Lakes is a stunning paradise of green foliage and blue water. This aerial shot captures it perfectly. Want to see it for yourself? Make your way to Croatia. Follow @epicuriouspassports on Instagram and check out their blog, Epicurious Passport.

Other top green pictures this month were from @allaboardtheskylark and @diana_mirs.

Turquoise

Underwater pictures are always amazing. This reef doesn’t disappoint. That little fish was destined to be a star. Want to visit yourself? This reef is located off the coast of Belize. Follow @beckythetraveller on Instagram and Facebook, and check out her blog, Becky the Traveller.

Other top turquoise pictures this month came from @islandgirlintransitΒ and @kelseysocial.

Blue

The way this sky was captured is absolutely stunning. It makes me want to book a plane ticket to admire it in person. Want to visit? It’s located in Abu Dhabi. Follow @sanjiban_ghosh on Instagram for more great shots.

Other top blues this month came from @kelseysocial and @diana_mirs.

Purple

I cheated on this one. It’s my own picture. I really do love it though. I’m a former Disney Cast Member, and the Christmas lights that adorn Cinderella Castle every winter are magical. You’ll have to book a plane ticket to Orlando to see this view. Follow my Instagram here.

Other top purple pictures came from @nicholasvassofficial and @the_coconutcollective.

Pink

Everyone in DC flock to Tidal Basin for Cherry Blossom season, here’s a tip for those who want to spend some quiet and peaceful time under rows of beautiful cherry blossom trees – Head to Hanes Point Park! It’s about 20 mins walk and 10 mins drive from Jefferson Memorial. πŸ˜ƒ Thanks to our beautiful friend @mansi63 for being our model πŸ™† . . . . #myDCcool #dctography #washingtondaily #acreativedc #exposeddc #fotodc #washingtondc#abc7dc #igdc #beautifuldestinations #cherryblossoms #spring #global_hotshotz #sheisnotlost #womenwhoexplore #discoverglobe #earthlandscape #fatalframes #lostinnature #picoftheday #artofvisuals #moodyports #beautifuldestinations #landscapephotography #nature_perfection #ladiesgoneglobal

This one is put together so perfectly. Everything matches, and even though I try to stay away from pictures with people in them on Worldwide Color, I couldn’t help but fall in love with it. Think it’s from Japan? You’d be wrong. This picture was taken in Washington, DC. Follow @my_ticklefeet on Instagram and on her blog, My Tickle Feet.

Other top pink pictures came from @smartphotographic and @twinsistravels.
